Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort announce great gumbo paired with first-rate fun at the Gulf Coast’s favorite winter food event – the 30th Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16. Visitors and gumbo-lovers from across the Southeast are expected to join in the festivities with some newly added surprises!
The Sandestin Gumbo Festival has been known as one of the largest and most popular winter food events along with Florida’s Emerald Coast. Now in its 30th year, the event takes over The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Kick-off the weekend Friday, Feb. 15 at Hammerhead’s Bar & Grill with a delicious Baytowne Seafood Boil. On Saturday, Feb. 16 from 12-4 p.m. guests will enjoy live Zydeco music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe, family activities and the best gumbo cook-off on the Gulf Coast.
New this year is the announcement of a new component to the Festival– Best Bloody Marys at The Beach! Some of the finest bars’ and restaurants’ found here along the Emerald Coast are showcasing their Bloody Marys and you’re the judge! Vote for your favorite and help them win the title of “Best Bloody Mary at The Beach”!
