A Day At The Beach Essential Packing List

A beach trip can be a ton of fun and very relaxing. A poorly planned trip, though, can turn into a pain—literally, if you forget to pack sunscreen. As fun as going to the beach can be, it does take some planning ahead in order to have the best trip possible. Here are some tips on how to pack the perfect beach bag, along with some other suggestions to keep your day

Sunglasses and a Floppy Hat are Essential

Not just a fashion accessory, choose a wide-brimmed hat and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV radiation, 100% UV protection is best.

Pack the Towels

Bring at least one towel per person. This is a bulky item, so roll them up tighly and pack them in the bottom of the bag, adding smaller items on top. Brings a small bag so at the end of your beach day you can put your wet towels in this bag to keep your other items dry.

Don’t Burn

It is abosolutely neccessary to Choose SPF 30 sunscreen or higher and cover every inch of your body that is exposed to the sun. After two hours outside, reapply.

Pack a Cover-Up or Sun Protection Clothing

There are many Sun protective clothing on the market that keep your skin safe in the sun. They are lightweight, breathable, soft and super comfortable. You’ll love wearing them and prevention of sunburn is always a great idea!

Protect Valuables From Sand and Water

Plastic food storage containers and plastic zipper storage bags are ideal for keeping phones, keys, cash, photo IDs, and other necessities clean and dry.

Include Something To Read or Music to Listen To

Download your favorite music or book for the season’s most popular beach reads. Now’s a great time to read one of those books everybody’s talking about or put on your headphones and rock it out.

Carry a Cooler for Water and Snacks

Stay hydrated at the beach and bring a cooler that’s soft-sided and lightweight to keep drinks cold and don’t forget to bring snacks and drink plenty of WATER!

For the Kids

Don’t forget the Frisbees, beach balls, and other toys to keep young beach-goers entertained. Inflatables can be carried deflated to save space and blown up at the beach.

About Chairs, Umbrellas, and Tents

Instead of lugging these bulky, heavy items, consider renting them if there’s a rental option or bring your own. Don’t forget the umbrella, it is a necessity.
